Rug-in for Plug-in: a night of clothes-swapping and films (VIC) |

Independent film and documentary group, Plug-in TV, is having
a night of clothes-swapping and films to raise funds and promote environmental
sustainability. By recycling clothing back into the community, rather than
purchasing new clothes, you can effectively de-consume and be kind to the
planet.
Plug-in asks that people bring along the unloved items in their wardrobes, perhaps
even an impulse buy you later regretted that still has the sales tag on. Rather
than buying new clothes at shopping centres, re-use and recycle the items at
the clothes-swap. Who knows what you’ll find?!
Plug-in TV DVDs will be available for sale on the night and each purchase comes
with a free pint of beer. Proceeds from the door will help to support Plug-in
TV and the production of its next season.
Plug-in TV is a community initiative which helps to unite independent media
producers with artists, educators and voices that might otherwise go unheard. The
group has been running for the over three years finding airtime on community
television and documenting issues that raise awareness about social justice,
health, arts and culture.
Plug-in TV aims to support and help community oriented artists and groups
produce quality media within the fields of environmental awareness, social
justice and sustainable cultural practices.
