Mule Café could
well be the perfect coffee haunt you’ve been searching for. Behind its huge
window facing Sydney Road,
you’ll find a warm little café with yummy vegan options and a cosy atmosphere.
The vegan breakfast offerings are seriously good, including a dish of fried
tofu with spinach, nuts, seeds, avocado and cashew pesto. The big veggie
breakfast (available without eggs) is also a tasty option. Depending on your
mood, mueslie, porridge, toast, pancakes and wheat and gluten free options are
on offer. Around lunchtime you can choose from soup, pasta and risotto of the
day, various sandwiches, and a delicious vegie burger and vegie mezzie platter.
If you find yourself at Mule on pumpkin soup day, make sure you order it, it’s
by far one of the nicest around. Be sure to check it has been made without
dairy.
For other times of the day, slices, breads, dips and vegan muffins (the raspberry
muffins are an awesome experience) are great to snack on. Mule also serves tasty
coffee, a variety of different teas, freshly squeezed juices, soy smoothies and
mineral waters.
The eclectic collection of chairs and no-too-loud-but-still-audible music makes
this a great place to eat and drink. So great in fact, it will soon be open for
dinners from Thursday to Saturday. Vegan diners are sure to find something to
please.
