I'm terminally bored by regular wallets. It would be okay if they were cheap,
but often the designs are bland, leather, and expensive! So here are some good value
vegan options.
Tiny Meat
Tiny Meat (pictured above) is a vinyl accessory design company,
giving illustrators access to your pocket goods. The company produces wallets,
iPod covers, journals, passport protectors, card cases and even holders for
your Nintendo DS. The slim vegan wallets are available in a huge range to suit
anything from modern pop design aesthetics to the most whimsical tastes. Who
wouldn't love a wallet design named "awesomebots!"?
Rose Street
Visit the Rose Street Artists Market to see
a range of vegan friendly bags, wallets and coin purses. It's open each Saturday
from 11am to 5pm. Cybertart (pictured above) constructs bags from
plastic, denim, cotton and fake suede. Tobey Henry's fabric coin purses invite
closer inspection, with their cheerful colours and delicate patterns. Matt
Thomson (pictured below) is a market veteran by now, and you can find
his Mattt bags here, with an ever evolving selection of fabrics, and perfect
utilitarian designs. They are handmade in Melbourne,
and have a lifetime guarantee.
