Pia by Natalie PortmanFollowing the success of her debut vegan shoe line, Natalie Portman has just released her second collection for spring with luxury shoe maker Té Casan.

The collection exudes a playfulness reflected by the personality of the vegan Golden Globe winning actress and Harvard graduate. Prices range from US$225 for a simple ballet flat (Pia) to $395 for a satin pump with chiffon pompom (Plath). Although they seem rather pricey, each shoe is a limited edition with only 100 pairs in each size and colour available. You can view and purchase shoes from the new collection here. All of Portman’s proceeds from sales will be donated to various non-profit organisations dedicated to environmental preservation and animal rights.

Portman says of her decision to work with Té Casan: ‘As a vegan, it's been challenging finding designer shoes made of alternative materials. This collection offers a great selection without compromising quality or style.’ What’s interesting is that Portman was previously linked to exquisite vegan footwear designer Beyond Skin, a company that only makes vegan shoes. Whilst the Té Casan line is equally nice, the company does also manufacturer shoes made from animal leathers.
